I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
in California. I attended San Jose State University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1997. In
1999, I attended Cal State University Hayward and obtained a Masters of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in Cross Cultural
Training in 2001. I completed my mental health training through various placements, such as Residential Group Home for
adolescents that were involved in the judicial system. I later moved onto Telecare Villa Fairmont Mental Health Rehabilitation
Center in San Leandro, working with dual-diagnosis adults. I continued on to Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center, in which
I worked in the field of infant mental health, teen parenting therapeutic case management, individual counseling, family counseling,
couples counseling, crisis counseling, and school-based counseling. I have facilitated various psycho-educational theme
groups, such as, self-esteem, parenting, self-awareness, grief and depression, healthy relationships and social skills.
I have conducted various workshops that dealt with the issues of grief and bereavement, teaching the faith community
how to start a grief ministry, and various self-esteem topics. Through my work I bring compassion, a sense of humor,
sensitivity and discretion, honesty and respect.
